Dive Brake is an original progressive grunge jam band based in the NYC metro area. Nick Pascarella (guitar/lead vocals), Steve Remp (drums/vocals), and Dexter Larsen (bass) have been playing together as this outfit since 2018. Nick and Steve worked together in Gone Quite Mad from 2015-2017, while Dexter and Steve have been long time jam partners and collaborators from 2012.
Dive Brake has released the EP “The Approach” and the LP “Bravo” on the independent record label Pinch Records. All tracks were recorded by Scott Lindner in Long Island City, NY at Pinch Studios. The first single off Bravo is Skin.
The band has covered a wide range of artists from Dire Straits to Curtis Mayfield, Soundgarden, Beastie Boys, Hendrix, and Incubus. Dive Brake is able to fill 3 hour performances with either sets of full covers, or all originals.
We have a partially mixed/unmastered demo EP available, Test Flight. The mixing process was cut short by the relocation of our original engineer and second guitarist Dylan Gleit (Eminence Ensemble).
